Ming Stitch

Ming Stitch is a wonderful stitch for larger areas. It is made up of groups of five horizontal stitches. The two outer stitches of the group of five span over two canvas threads. The inner three stitches span over four canvas threads. 

Stitches made up of horizontal and vertical canvas stitches tend to show more canvas than diagonal stitches, generally speaking. If you want a fuller coverage look, try a flat thread like Neon Rays or Neon Rays Plus for this stitch.
