Scotch Stitches are great stitches for architecture and borders.
Reverse Scotch Stitches are made up of a diagonal stitch over one canvas thread, over two, over three, over two and over one. These stitches all slant towards the upper left of the canvas, as this stitch is the reverse of a regular Scotch Stitch. They make a small square in the canvas when complete.
Scotch Stitches and Reverse Scotch Stitches work well for any area on a canvas that is three canvas threads by three canvas threads.
The above example was stitched in Glisten- one of the only sparkly wool threads.
