Staggered Diagonals:
This month's featured stitch is the Staggered Diagonals Stitch, which you'll see filling the background of the design. It's made up of diagonal stitches that span two canvas intersections. These stitches “stagger,” or shift back and forth, to create a fun textured pattern.
You'll work this stitch diagonally, using a similar technique to other diagonal stitches you may know, such as Diagonal Scotch or Diagonal Mosaic. It's a great stitch to add to your needlepoint repertoire!

The adorable white ghosts are stitched in Tent Stitch, keeping them simple and letting the background stitch shine. For the ghosts' eyes, you can use Tent Stitches for a clean, classic look or try French Knots to add a little extra dimension and texture.
