Hearts for Hospice Canvas
Back in 2015, members of the Greater Kansas City Needlepoint Guild began a project to fulfill a need at a local hospice center. Hearts are placed on the door of any resident who has recently passed away. This alerts anyone who passes by to be respectful of those mourning the death of their loved one. The heart is then given to the family member to be taken home in remembrance of their loved one.
These hearts are delivered to four hospice centers in Kansas City, including one pediatric center and one that takes care of Veterans. Red, white and blue hearts are being sent to the Veterans.
When you are done stitching your heart, it may be mailed back to us at KC Needlepoint. We will ensure the heart is finished for you and delivered to Hearts for Hospice.
