Horizontal Slanted Gobelin 2 over 1 is a stitch that is worked over two canvas threads horizontally and up one vertically. This stitch may seem a little tricky as it does not fall on a "true diagonal." Stitches will angle towards the upper right. 
As you place each next stitch, you will shift over just one canvas thread horizontally, as our stitches are very close together. 

Work this stitch in horizontal rows, snaking back and forth. 

Try this stitch in a thin thread like Petite Silk Lamé Braid.
