Couching Stitch
Couching... one of the best techniques to get a curved line on a canvas.

Couching requires two threads:
- a laid thread (like Kreinik, Silk Lamé Braid etc).
- a couching thread (a single ply of Splendor, Floss or beading thread).

After securing both threads to the back of your canvas, use the floss to tac the laid thread down on the surface of the canvas in place. Wherever possible tack the laid thread down by coming up and going down in the same hole to make the tacking stitches as invisible as possible.

The above example was stitched using Silk Lamé Braid as the laid thread and a single ply of Splendor as the couching thread.
