Stitch of the Season: Autumn
By now you all know what time of year it is! Yep, you guessed it. It's time for a new stitch of the season for Autumn.
Fall is here which means back to school, leaves changing colors picking and crisp autumn nights. Our favorite fall activity is heading to the apple orchard to pick some fruit, which is why we're sharing our favorite stitch for a basket on the blog today.
Wicker Stitch has long since been one of our favorite stitches for baskets. It can also be used for background stitches. It is made up of horizontal and vertical stitches that span over four canvas threads. They are worked in groups of three, alternating the direction. The stitches almost weave together making the perfect texture for anything woven.

Try the stitch in Straw Silk to increase the real life resemblance even further. There are gorgeous browns and tans to choose from.
