Milanese Stitch
Milanese Stitch is a diagonal stitch. It is made up of stitches that resemble "triangles" in the canvas when complete. 

Each "triangle" is made up of four stitches. One over one, over two, over three and finally over four. 

When you reach the bottom of one diagonal row, the direction of your triangle will flip as you work in the opposite direction. 

This is a very busy stitch, so save it for portions of your canvas that you want to have a lot of movement.
